Earlier in 2011, with support of our donors, the DawnRelief Home Reconstruction Programme handed over 200 newly constructed houses to families near Sehwan who had lost their homes last year. We now plan to build a further 1,000 homes across Pakistan, including 200 homes in the districts of Badin and Thatta.

The Material (Drop down/pop-up)
Every house will consist of two rooms, two windows, a door and a concrete floor. These houses will be able to accommodate up to seven people. The houses will be constructed using cement fibre board for the walls and roofs, and angle iron for the frames. These will be transported from facilities in nearby cities in a Semi Knocked Form (SKF) to the affected areas, where they will be assembled on an area of 250 square feet.

The Cost (Drop down/pop-up)
A completed house will cost Rs 125,000 (£917/$1,429)*, inclusive of construction material, transportation and assembling costs.
