In May 2009, as the number of refugees coming in from Swat, Malakand and their adjoining areas reached the three million mark, DawnRelief set up a camp in Labour Colony, Mardan.

Up to September 2009, we provided 3,953 displaced people consisting of 630 families (978 men, 1,320 women and 1,655 children), with shelter, food and basic living amenities.

The camp was disbanded once the people living there were able to return to their homes safely.
